The construction of the new Evangelical church began in 1897 and finished in 1902, when the church was officially consecrated. Between 1902 and 1904, the spacious area around the church was planted with trees and a fence was built too.

Description

The Evangelical church complex is located in the southern part of the town, on a land plot surrounded by the streets: św. Antoniego, Seweryna, Szkolna and Bohaterów 14 Brygady. It was placed on a quadrangular plot of land. The original fence have been preserved in Św. Antoniego Street and in the area next to the church, where it partitions off the garden in the residential and utility section. The remaining parts of the fence were erected in modern times; they are made of mesh and precast concrete elements.

The decorative external fence is set on a foundation. It is openwork, consisting of a row of forged steel posts, the form of which is stylishly consistent with the Gothic Revival character of the temple.

The fence has three openings leading to the premises. The main, double-winged gate is situated opposite the axis of the church. A gate with a wicket leads to the utility section. The wicket is situated next to the clergy house. The wings of the gates and wickets as well as the sections filling the fence consist of forged grates with elements of Gothic Revival and geometric decorations. In the lower part, they are solid (steel plates), above there are grates with triangular tops. They are set between brick, plastered four-sided, roofed pillars and adorned with elongated decorative panels. The garden area at the clergy house is partitioned off by a small, openwork fence, consisting of three-element sections with ornamentation mirroring that on the high fence. The first trees planted in the church area are secured with a low wrought fence too.

The site can be viewed from outside all year round. It can be toured inside upon prior arrangement with the parish authorities.
