The first church in this town was founded around 1420 by founders of the village - John and Jacob. The existence of the parish was confirmed in 1458. The bell tower was built in 1775.
The bell tower is located in the middle of the village, within the church cemetery, at a Late Gothic brick church. It is an example of Baroque architecture.
The building was erected on a square floor plan and has two storeys; the upper storey is lower, covered with a pyramid hipped roof crowned with a crucifix on a baluster. The second storey contains arcaded bell openings. The entrance is found on the south façade.
A wooden, lower storey with a log structure, with corners connected with dovetail joints; the upper with a post-and-beam structure. Vertically weatherboarded; the lower storey with board and batten siding; the upper storey butted; resting on a fieldstone foundation. Wooden, one-wing, footwall door. A beamed ceiling, resting on a single pillar; the second storey’s floor is made of wood.
Equipment: two Renaissance bells; one dated 1574, and a relief presenting the Risen Christ in a medallion and containing letters NI.
The monument can be viewed from the outside.
