History

The alley on a causeway intersecting a waterlogged area to the north-east of the palace was planted most likely in the early 18^th century. On the oldest preserved maps, dating from the second half of the 19th century, it links the north-eastern corner of the landscape park with a sheepfold located to the south of the village, in the forest belonging to a ducal family von Reuss.

Description

The alley is situated in the north-eastern part of the village, in an undeveloped area. The woodlots stretch along the picturesquely meandering dirt road, enclosing the palace and park complex with a wide arc. It begins approximately 500 metres in a straight line to the east of the main entrance to the palace and ends in the north-eastern part of the landscape park. The alley is approx. 500 m long. It consists of 68 pedunculate oaks, whose trunk perimeters measured at the height of 1.3 m amount to between 2.5 and 4.3 m.
