One can still see the spatial layout of the area and archaeological research may still reveal new information about its history. The mound commemorates the discovery of deposits in 1784. The area was covered by numerous structures, including the first steam engine in Upper Silesia, operating since 1788. On termination of mining the nearby area was arranged and the heap surrounded by small-leaved lime trees giving to create a park. The park, currently known as the Kunszt Park, was the central site for annual mining ceremonies resumed after the inscription on the UNESCO List.
