History
Ring fort from the tribal period. In 1535 Andrzej Wilamowski was mentioned; in 1581 Maciej Siedlecki.
Description of the structure
Location of the heritage site. Located on a peninsula in the southeastern part of Stryjewo Lake, 1 km north of Dźwierszno Wielkie and the intersection of Górowatki-Boryszkowo-Topola roads. The area of the hillfort is used as a campsite.
Description of the site. Ring fort 100 m long, 70 m wide, preserved rampart height 1.5-2 m from the water level. Covered with mixed forest, with a clearing used periodically as a camping site.
History of the site. Known at least from the mid- 20th century. Entered in the register of historic monuments in 1968.
Progress and findings of archaeological research. Surface survey by Bonifacy Zielonka in 1949, surface and probing by Gerard Wilke in 1964. Historical material was noted in three out of four surveys. Research under the AZP (Archaeological Picture of Poland) project in 1986.
Visitor access. the site is open to the general public. You can reach it using water equipment or on foot, along the shoreline of the lake.
