History of the structure/dating of construction phases
A conical hillfort (motte-and-bailey castle), surrounded by a moat on three sides. The family seat of the Kotwicz-Wilkowski family. In 1322 reference is made to a certain Stefan.

On the main road (Dworcowa Street) through the village near St. Martin’s Church, at a school complex.
Description of the site
A conical hillfort with a regular oval base, evenly truncated top, surrounded by a 10 m wide moat. Diameter at culmination 15 m, 2-3 m above base of moat. A narrow causeway on the east side.
History of the site
Known at least since the beginning of the 20th century. A treasure of coins and silver ornaments dating after 1036 was discovered in Wilków. Entered in the register of historic monuments in 1995.

Surface research was carried out in 1952, 1980, 1995.
Visitor access. The site is accessible to visitors, visible from the road.
