A concave hillfort in Ryżyn/Rzyżyn, mentioned in 1252 as Sienno, Sirino, in 1280 Zywino. In 1404 the seat of Mikołaj of Bielejew.

Location of the historic structure
About 1 km northeast of Ryżyn, south of the road to Charcice, on the culmination between a lake and a stream north of an unnamed lake, although in the Middle Ages it was called “Rzyżynko Lake”.
Description of the site
A concave hillfort, without a moat, with a base diameter of about 50 m, a basin diameter of 20 m, rampart height of 2-5 m, inside 1-3 m
History of the site
Known at least from the 1st half of the 20th century. Entered in the register of historic monuments in 1989.
Progress and findings of archaeological research
Survey of the site in 1932; verification research in 1977; in 1986 surveys as part of the “Archaeological Picture of Poland” project.
