History
The house was built in the early 19th century and given a distinctly Classicist character. It was surrounded by a park, with a manor farm located in the immediate vicinity, north of the house itself. Towards the end of the century, it was significantly modified by the erstwhile owner of the property, Kazimierz Tymowski. As part of the alteration works, the interior was transformed, and a new, spectacular staircase leading to the main entrance was added. After the end of the war, the manor house became an office of the Municipal National Council, was used as a school and then, for many years, remained abandoned. Currently, the house remains a private property, with its owner carrying out its full-scale renovation for a couple of years now.
Description
The manor house constitutes a central element of a manor house and farm complex. It is located in the northern part of Ustków. The layout of the complex has survived only in fragments, most farm buildings were dismantled. Apart from the manor house, also the park surrounding it has been preserved. A primary school has been built to the north-west from the house.
The building is erected on a rectangular floor plan. The walls are made of brick, and the interiors are plastered. The building is covered with a hip roof laid with tiles, with dormers. It has a high basement and a loft.
The central section of the front (southern) façade is constituted by a columned portico topped with a triangular pediment, covered with a gable roof. The whole (and also other façades) features a frieze formed by projecting bricks. The eastern and western façades are similar in structure - with five axes, three windows, and two blind windows. The northern façade features an overhanging balcony platform (once, with a decorative metal balustrade). The building is currently being renovated, and the interior is not accessible.
The manor house may be viewed from outside, from the park. Third persons are currently not allowed inside.
