• 1825 - construction of the palace

Description

The palace is located in the western part of the village, on the northern side of the main road. It is surrounded by a park dating back to the second half of the 19th century, which has since fallen into a state of neglect; the front (southern) façade of the palace faces the manor farm courtyard flanked by utility buildings on both sides. A driveway leading towards the residence leads across the courtyard from the south. Two old plane trees, now about 170 years old and having the status of natural monuments, are located on the western side of the palace. The entire complex is surrounded by a stone wall.

The palace, erected in 1825, has managed to survive with very little changes despite the passage of time. Its design is attributed to Karl Friedrich Schinkel, although this is debatable.

The building, designed on a square plan, is preceded by a colonnaded, Doric portico with a driveway. The front façade is symmetrical in design and follows a nine-axial layout. The building features a mezzanine level. The five-axial central part of the façade has one extra storey and is covered with a gable roof. The side wings are covered with flat roofs which double as terraces. Inside, the palace features a central hall designed on a circular floor plan; the hall spans two storeys, with the upper storey being taken up by a gallery which rests on a circle of columns. The palace features original period door and window joinery, the windows being of the solid-frame, single-rebate casement type. At the present stage, the building remains abandoned.

The building is private property and can only be viewed from the outside.
