Address

Location

History
The wall was erected in the early 16th century, most likely at the same time as the church itself. The wicket gates were added during the 18th century.
Description
The wall, made of split stone and standing at 2 metres high, was designed on a circular plan. The rectory (clergy house) adjoins the southern section of the wall. The wall incorporates three wicket gates, designed in the Baroque style and topped with triangular pediments, their walls being covered with plaster and painted white. The most representational, northern gate features an adjoining shrine, rather austere in appearance, its presence being linked to the former cemetery. A group of epitaph plaques, added at a later date, are embedded in the inner surface of the wall. On the outer side of the wall, three penance crosses stand alongside the main road leading through the village.
