History
A conical hillfort surrounded by a moat. Mentioned in 1310. In the period from 1395 to 1405 it was the seat of the Wyskot family, then of the Oderfeld and Krakwicz families. Stanisław Rydzyński was mentioned on 1581 and 1585.
Description of the structure
Location of the historic structure. The hillfort called Łysa Góra, located in the manor park, 50 m north of the road.
Description of the site. According to the “description of the starost from 1922” the rampart was 35 m long and as wide, surrounded by a moat
History of the site. Known since at least 1823, when it was “excavated”, entered in the register of historic monuments in 1994.
Progress and findings of archaeological research. Investigated in 1823, probably by Franciszek Morawski, the then owner of Lubonia. In 1922 an administrative inspection; in 1978, verification and survey research under the supervision of Zofia Hilczer-Kurnatowska. It was then that fragments of late-medieval pottery, tiles, pugging material and bricks were discovered. In 1983 research under the AZP (Archaeological Picture of Poland) project.
Visitor access. Visible from the road. Within the boundaries of a manor park.
