History of the structure
A concave hillfort, mentioned in 1284 as Nogyew, erected at the turn of the 8th and 9th centuries. Many layers were found by the rampart, stones in the rampart.
Description of the structure
Location of the historic structure. About 750 m from the disused railroad station in Nojewo, on the eastern bank of a stream, at the headland of a hill
Description of the site. A concave hillfort with a rampart with a diameter of 20-25 m. The height of the slope on the side of the now overgrown meadow is 14-16 m.
History of the site. Entered into the register of historic monuments in 1969.
Progress and findings of archaeological research. Verification studies carried out in 1969. The stone construction of the rampart was noted, at the rampart “many layers and fragments of vessels, a fragment of an iron knife and animal bones; in 1987 surface surveys were conducted as part of the AZP (Archaeological Picture of Poland) project.
Visitor access. The site is open to visitors (wildlife refuge).
