The wooden cemetery chapel, built at the beginning of the 19th century, contains a pointed-arch portal salvaged from the former wooden church. The portal had been in the passage area between the chancel and the sacristy.
Description
A free-standing building, with its roof ridge parallel to the road. Made of brick. Built on a rectangular plan with an avant-corps in the corner and a portico at the front. Two-bay, one-storey, half-cellared. Brick elevations with a plaster-covered strip under the cornice, portico walls and blendes. At the front, there is a double-pillar portico enclosed by walls. On the garden-facing side, in the corner, there is an arcade vaulted with a segmental arch. The building has a gable roof, tiled, with a portico in sheet metal cladding. Wood-panelled doors. The front door is embellished architecturally by semicircular tympanums with a shell in the middle. The floors are made from planks.
Property of the Parish of St. Lawrence. The chapel can be viewed from outside.
